Virtual Survey
Should you live further afield, why not take advantage of our 'Virtual Survey' service? We are happy to travel up to a maximum of 3 hours to install.
For a virtual survey, we would require photographs and measurements, and any relevant additional information, ie; if it’s an existing entrance, what material are the existing posts? If it’s a new entrance - photos showing any possible hindrances or obstacles. Is the land level? If it slopes please indicate the direction.
Oak Gates
Our ever-popular 5-bar oak field gates are available as a complete package inclusive of installation.
Your new or existing entrance will be surveyed and measured - we will help you to decide the best configuration for your own requirements. Your gates will then be made to your specific measurements.
We will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient installation date.
Our gates are normally installed within the day.
Caring for your Wood
Wood is a natural material that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting.
Natural tannins will cause discolouration.
Your new oak items will arrive untreated and we recommend that you treat them according to their environment in order to prolong life.
Whichever product you select, always adhere to the manufacturer’s instructions for best results.
Danish Oil contains tung oil and other ingredients which penetrate deep into all types of timber, drying to a hard, durable and water-resistant seal.
The oil primes, seals and finishes all woods. It does not leave a surface film to chip and scratch.
It can be used as a primer before painting or varnishing.
